Born in Steubenville, Ohio and moved to Rome, Italy at the age of 3. Moved back to Ohio after marrying Verusca Zangoli and having two daughters, Francesca (January 9th 1948) and Margherita (December 14th 1949). Moved back to Rome in his early 40s, leaving his family in America. He died in Rome.
