- He was the only person to have an actual military service record on Stargate SG-1 (1997).

- Davis often played characters in four branches of the US military. He played a US Air Force general on Stargate SG-1 (1997) and Major in Twin Peaks (1990), a US Marine sergeant in A Few Dead Men (1994), a US Navy Captain on The X-Files (1993), and a US Army general in The Voice of Reason (1995).
