Supergirl is headed to the 31st century with Legion of Super-Heroes, an upcoming animated feature due out early next year from Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

The CW has lined up three original specials for premiere in fourth quarter 2021 — original made-for-tv movie The Waltons’ Homecoming, The Scooby Doo Reunion Special and holiday adventure Beebo Saves Christmas. Dates and times will be announced later.

The Waltons’ Homecoming marks the 50th anniversary of The Homecoming: A Christmas Story television movie, which aired December 19, 1971, and launched the long-running series The Waltons. Bellamy Young (Scandal) stars as Olivia, Logan Shroyer (This Is Us) as John Boy and Richard Thomas, who originally starred as John Boy Walton in The Waltons series, as “The Narrator.”

The CW has commissioned three new TV specials for late 2021: “The Scooby-Doo Reunion Special,” “The Waltons: Homecoming,” and “Beebo Saves Christmas.”

In “The Scooby-Doo Reunion Special,” the Mystery Inc. gang reunites at Warner Bros. Studios to reminisce about their favorite cases and how they were filmed. But it turns out that the backlot may have its own monster problem. Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo investigate this mystery while celebrating the legacy of the franchise during this one-hour special.

Jonathan Stern will executive produce the special, which hails from Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon and Abominable Pictures.

In addition to revealing its fall lineup on Tuesday, The CW also announced a trio of upcoming TV specials involving the Waltons, the Scooby gang and, of course, Beebo.

First up is Beebo Saves Christmas, a one-hour animated adventure in which “everyone’s favorite fuzzy toy turned furry god [from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow] will once again be a hero as he hopes to save Christmas. When Sprinkles, an efficiency-obsessed elf, decides that Christmas would run better without Santa Claus, Beebo and his friends travel to the North Pole to help discover what truly makes Christmas meaningful.”

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the winners of the 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The gala was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Southern California.

“Tonight’s awards ceremony is an example of the extraordinary depth and breadth of Daytime television,” said Terry O’Reilly, Chairman, NATAS. “It is with great pleasure that we honor these talented nominees and a special honor to be recognizing Jacques Pepin’s culinary career with our Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The 46th annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Friday recognized the top achievements in daytime television.

CBS took home 12 awards, the most of any network, with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and PBS right behind at 10 awards each. With five nods, the Eye’s “The Young and the Restless” soap was the program with the most awards, while “After Forever” and “Crow: The Legend” followed with four apiece. “Sesame Street,” “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” and “The Talk” all won three awards.

Variety also nabbed an outstanding special class series Emmy for its “Actors on Actors” series. Additionally, chef Jacques Pepin was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless” led all shows in wins at the 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which were handed out on Friday night at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

The series won five awards, to four for Amazon Prime Video’s “After Forever” and Baobab Studios’ “Crown: The Legend.” Three awards each went to “Days of Our Lives,” “Sesame Street,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Talk.”

CBS was the leading network, with 12 wins, to 10 for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and PBS.

The show is a precursor to the Daytime Emmy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, May 5.

If you're a fan of Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, you'll be excited to learn that they are preparing for their “Return to the Spider-Verse” storyline. It's in this upcoming event that Spider-Gwen will make her TV debut! I've been wondering when this would happen, and it's great to know that that time has come. The news comes from IGN, who explains:

The current fourth season of the series, titled Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister Six, will conclude with the four-part storyline, which will find Spider-Man, joined by Miles Morales, once again encountering a ton of alternate reality Spideys. Spider-Gwen will debut in the final installment, voiced by Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie, Descendants). The super-powered, alternate reality version of Gwen Stacy has been a fan favorite since her debut in the comic book version of the Spider-Verse storyline, and currently stars in her own spinoff title.

Get ready to head back into the Spider-Verse this weekend when Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man kicks off its epic four-part "Return to the Spider-Verse" event! The new event will serve as a sequel of sorts for the original Spider-Verse event that took place last season. Details on the plot have yet-to-be revealed, but the storyline is said to follow Spider-Man & Miles Morales for the most part, which likely means it will center around Peter trying to find a way to get Miles back into his own dimension.   We already knew that Donald Glover (Community) was going to be voicing Miles Morales in the upcoming four-part Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors Spider-Verse event and now Marvel has revealed the rest of the special guest cast, which includes a few familiar voices. The guest cast, in addition to Glover, will also include Christopher Daniel Barnes, who voiced Spider-Man in the hit '90s animated series, as Spyder-Knight, Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) as Spider-Man Noir, Freddy Rodríguez (Scrubs) as Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099, Olivia Holt (Kickin' It) as Petra Parker/Spider-Girl, and Ben Diskin (Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.) as Peter Porker/Spider-Ham. Additionally Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me!) will be voicing Norma Osborn, an adversary of Spider-Girl's. Yeah, but whose turn is it to take out the garbage? The kicky new Disney Xd toon series Marvel's Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (premiering Sunday, Aug. 11 at 11am/10c) is a mix of high-octane action and screwball comedy that finds the incredible Hulk — voiced by Marvel vet Fred Tatasciore — fighting the usual assortment of intergalactic baddies while also living with four other gamma-radiated Hulks under the same roof.

The roomies include She-Hulk (Eliza Dushku), A-Bomb (Seth Green), Skaar (Ben Diskin) and Red Hulk (Clancy Brown), plus their T-Rex pet, Devil Dinosaur.

"They're trying to prove to the world that they're heroes, not destructive monsters," says Tatasciore. "But it doesn't always go so well. To help the PR campaign along, Hulk reluctantly lets A-Bomb film their family life for a reality web series." Which means the big green grunter has to work on his charm. Cracks Tatasciore: "He will actually speak in complete sentences!

Disney Xd has released TV spots for its two new Marvel-based animated series, and it’s pretty clear that they will be rather different from each other in tone, if not in animation styles. While many of us mourn the passing of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, it’s time to check out the newest version of the assemblage:

And now for something (almost) completely different… While the Marvel’s Avengers Assemble marketing is heaving towards fans of the movie, you know they’re going for another thing entirely when the Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. spot starts out “What’s more fun than one Hulk? Five Hulks!” Let’s not forget, though that hulk features the voice of Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse, Angel) as She-Hulk. So there’s that.

Viva Pictures has released a domestic trailer and a first clip from their upcoming big screen take on Top Cat . Check both videos out in the players below! Set for a limited release on August 2, Top Cat is directed by Alberto Mar with a script by Timothy McKeon and Kevin Seccia. It features the voice talents of Jason Harris, Melissa Disney, Ben Diskin, Chris Edgerly, Bill Lobely and Matt Piazzi. In the family film, the new mayor wants to automate the police force, including Officer Dibble's job, whose job it is to keep an eye on Top Cat and his Gang. As we watch excitedly for ongoing developments over in Joss Whedon’s camp for updates on his upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. series, it’s nice to know there’s more than one place to get a Marvel comics fix on television. Disney Xd has announced premier dates for their all new Avengers and Hulk animated series. We’ve got the skinny right here.

Marvel’s Avengers Assemble is the name for the first series, which promises to spotlight some of your favs. Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and even some you may be a little less familiar are on the team duty roster. Sunday, May 26 will offer a sneak preview of the animated goodness, but the official premier is scheduled for Sunday, July 7.

The second series is called Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.. That’s a mouthful! It will debut on Sunday, August 11. TV line has confirmed it.

We told you back in June 2012 that Marvel Animation was working on two new series, Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and although the two series hadn’t been picked up by a network, we were expecting them to go to Disney Xd. Today, Disney Xd announced that they have indeed picked up both series, with one small title adjustment: Avengers Assemble is now Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, which will help keep viewers and listings from confusing it with the unfortunately-now-over Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Disney Xd also announced premiere dates for the new shows: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble will give us all an advance showing on Sunday, May 26, and then officially premiere on Sunday, July 7. Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. makes its series debut on Sunday, August 11.

Presumably the Hulk series will be taking over the Maa timeslot, since the information is that both...

Disney Xd is once again teaming up with Marvel to bring about new animated series after the success of Ultimate Spider-Man. Milking the success of the summer blockbuster, The Avengers, two new shows have been picked up to join the Marvel Universe block in Summer 2013: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Both series will feature the Hulk, which is perfect considering he doesn’t look to be getting a new live-action movie anytime soon, so he deserves a little extra attention in the other forms of media.

Avenger’s Assemble will feature the same team from The Avengers movie, with the addition of Falcon. Adrian Pasdar will do the voice of Iron Man just as he did on Ultimate Spider-Man and the Iron Man anime series. Fred Tatsciore will voice the Hulk, Roger Craig Smith doing Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Troy Baker as Hawkeye,...
