- Mark Eyskens was born on April 29, 1933 in Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. He is an actor, known for Thuis (1995), Zonde van de zendtijd (2009) and De leukste eeuw van... (2002).
- Was former prime minister of Belgium (briefly from 6 April 1981 till 17 December 1981).
- Eyskens was first elected to the Belgian Chamber of Representatives in 1977. He was re-elected (elections of 1977, 1981, 1985, 1987, 1991, 1978, 1995, 1999) and served until 2003.
- In 1962, Eyskens started his political career as a counsellor in the cabinet of the Minister of Finance André Dequae.
- He is the son of Gaston Eyskens (who served three terms as the prime minister of Belgium, holding the position from 1949 to 1950, 1958 to 1961 and 1968 to 1973).
- On 18 November 1998, Eyskens was made a Minister of State.
