Brother-in-law of actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Patrick's Roadhouse (a restaurant in Santa Monica, California) was named after him by his father, Bill Fischler, who established the restaurant in 1973 and originally called it "Patrick's Place".

Founded and is co-artistic director of the Neurotic Young Urbanites, a Los Angeles theater group created by NYU graduates to give young actors a working environment to continue developing their skills. In addition to appearing in many of their productions, he has co-directed musical productions.

Attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts, trained at Circle in the Square and graduated in 1992.

Appeared as a guest star in 2012 in episodes of Castle (2009) and Scandal (2012); the episodes aired one month apart.

Bears strong resemblance to fellow actor Ben Chaplin.
