For 8 years, Tom starred as Brad Eliot for 1,248 episodes on CBS television's The Young and the Restless, a role for which he was voted Best Actor for 3 years in a row by two major entertainment magazines, TV By Day and Daytime TV. Tom was in the very first shot in the very first scene of the very first episode in 1973.
He was the first host of NBC's Entertainment Tonight and starred in 128 episodes of Loving Friends and Perfect Couples which was shot in Toronto for Lorimar with Knots Landing producer, David Jacobs.
