A native of Cincinnati, Dagney attended the prestigious Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts. She also apprenticed in the Cincinnati Ballet Company and Cincinnati Opera. After graduating with a BFA in Theater/Dance from Stephens College, she moved to Los Angeles and quickly gained notice for her comedic skills as an actress, writer and dancer.
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fans will always remember her as "Kathy", the demon roommate who irons her jeans while listening to Cher. "Desperate Housewife" fans know her as "Nurse Heisel", the nurse with a questionable moral compass. She's appeared on many TV shows and national commercials, and Daily Variety singled out her performance in the feature film "Park" as 'positively radiant' and 'hilarious'.
On stage, Dagney starred and choreographed her role as "Essie" in the Geffen Playhouse production, "You Can't Take It With You", and recently starred in the award winning show, "Mr. Burns", with Sacred Fools Theater.
She's also an award winning playwright whose plays have been produced around the country. She wrote and starred in the short films "The Business Meeting" and "Like", which had its world premiere at the Dances with Films Festival in Hollywood, and is the creator of the Christmas show "Holiday Fever", now in its 12th season.
