Horatiu Malaele is a Romanian actor and film director born on August
1st 1952 in Targu-Jiu. He graduated the Theater and Cinematography Art
Institute in the year 1975. Horatiu Malaele became renowned for his
theater plays, which he directed, but also for his characters in
Romanian comedy movies. Through his career, he won several awards for
his parts in movies like "Tinerete fara batranete", "Sluga la doi
stapan", "Muntele", "Eulenspiegel" etc.
Beside his movies and theater plays, Horatiu Malaele took up writing with his auto-biography book "Horatiu despre Malaele" and later, in 2012, publishing the novel "Rataciri" (Wanders).
