Robert B. Martin, Jr. began performing as a child, his strange
like-able quality and chameleon like looks have garnished him some very
unique and eclectic roles in a multitude of International FIlm, TV, and
stage projects. He holds the distinct honor of being the first teenager
to ever be "call blocked" and has starred in 100's of commercials
including Kodak's #1 commercial of all time, "HoneyMoon" with Money
Mazur portraying his bride. His film characters are just as eclectic
and span the array of genres from Laura Prepon' personal Gimp in
Dewey Nicks film
Slackers (2002) for Destination Films to
SuperBilly Hilly Billy, a role which he created, in the cult comic book
classic The Mystery Men. On stage he has starred in numerous
productions, but his proudest production is the critically acclaimed
one-man show "Trailer Trash" and "Trailer Trash Revisited" about his
family, which he wrote and starred and performed to sold out crowds. As
a director, some of his favorite spots he's created and directed
including the award winning Anti-Smoking Campaign for Maris, West &
Baker, which are aimed at the teen market, Levi's Poetry "Love", and
the spots from Nice Guys Finish Last which have gone on to win a
multitude of advertising awards for his famous "reveal." As World Wide
Creative Director for Equality Source, Robert, Jr. created the world
wide content, branding, and marketing strategy including concept-ing
and directing the celebrity campaign for LifeWorks which won the Golden
Pencil award. He produced, co-directed and starred in the feature film,
"Hip, Edgy, Sexy, Cool" a mockumentary, revolving around two casting
directors and their wild ride through the trenches of commercial
casting. The film is based on his previous years as a casting director
at Money Brothers Casting, and Robert Martin Casting, where his notable
credits include award-winning commercials for
Kinka Usher, Baker Smith, Rocky Morton and
Christopher Guest. "H, E,S, C"
features over two hundred distinguished cameos. His short film,
Nice Guys Finish Last (2001)
which he wrote and directed won the "The Standin' on the Corner" Award
for Best Narrative short at The Winslow Film Festival, stars Jane
Lynch, Christopher Kennedy Masterson and Milo Ventimiglia. It revolves
around Billy, our stereotypical teenager and his slew of problems
concerning females. It's a twisty little tale of teen angst and is in
pre-production for the feature film version. His critically acclaimed
CD, "The Concept of Acting," is in back order, which includes all the
"inside secrets" to the biz. As ceo of Robert Jr, Inc., his proudest
achievement is Bizodex.com, the World's Watercooler! Through all the
Entertainment madness, Robby Jr continues to build his niche as a
diverse character actor, director, writer and producer in the
Entertainment industry, while trying to retain the title of
International SuperDork.
