Monica Maughan was born on 15 September 1933 in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. She was an actress, known for Strange Bedfellows (2004), A City's Child (1971) and The Damnation of Harvey McHugh (1994). She was married to Rowland Ball and William Essex. She died on 8 January 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
