- John McConnell has done lots of films, stand up comedy and other stuff. "Spud" was born in Gonzales, Louisiana. The typical middle child, he spent his youth trying to get somebody/anybody to notice him. When, after graduating high school, his dad wouldn't sign permission for his minor son to join the Air Force - instead insisting that he go to college - Spud chose Theatre as his major just to piss off the old man. He did a few plays, the girls noticed him, and the rest is history. Spud has worked on the East coast, Off-Broadway, and the West Coast, network television, but prefers living on the Gulf Coast. "Have talent, will travel to your project." Please visit spudmcconnell.com for more film clips and voice demos.
