His high school prom date was his good friend actress Emmanuelle Chriqui. The two remain close.

Salvatore is named after an older brother who passed away, before he was born. He has an intricate tattoo on his left shoulder that honors that brother. The tattoo has been featured on screen in numerous appearances.

He was a writer/story editor for season 5 of Schitt's Creek.

He attended the same arts high school as Hayden Christensen. Salvatore was a senior, at the same time Hayden was a junior.
