Blonde American supporting actress and occasional leading lady who enjoyed greater success in silent screen melodramas than in talking pictures. Already by the late 1920's, she was reduced to appearing in second features for Tiffany-Stahl and Columbia. She left films in 1934. Palmer was formerly married to the author and screenwriter John Collier.
