Karel Vachek was born on 4 August 1940 in Tisnov, Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia [now Czech Republic]. He was a writer and director, known for Tmár a jeho rod aneb Slzavé údolí pyramid (2011), Kdo bude hlídat hlídace? Dalibor, aneb klíc k chaloupce strýcka Toma (2002) and Bohemia docta aneb Labyrint sveta a lusthauz srdce (Bozská komedie) (2000). He died on 21 December 2020 in the Czech Republic.
