Gary Michael Walters was born in New York, and educated at Princeton University, where he majored in statistics, and Fordham Law School, where he graduated cum laude. After working on Wall Street as a financial consultant for Johnson & Higgins and a corporate lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Walters moved to Los Angeles and entered the entertainment business at the entertainment law department of Loeb & Loeb. After several years of solo law practice, Walters commenced his producing career in 2003, specializing in the financing of independent feature films. In 2004, he co-founded Bold Films and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2023. In April 2023, Walters founded Walters Media Group. Walters is a member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
