Movie lovers will know that Zack Snyder is a very divisive personality in the world of cinema, as you either love his movies or you hate them. With Snyder, there is no in-between; his vision is so specific that you will either like it completely and enjoy his movies or think it completely ridiculous and consider his movies a failure.

There are numerous projects we could cite, but that would take too long. After the recent failure of Rebel Moon, many believed that Snyder’s career was on its way to oblivion, but it seems that his latest project, the animated series Twilight of the Gods, is doing well and might just usher in some new life into his career.

All episodes of Twilight of the Gods are now streaming on Netflix, and the review embargo for Zack Snyder's adult animated Norse mythology series lifted around the same time the show premiered.

This isn't always a great sign, but the first wave of reviews have been mostly very positive.

Snyder's work has rarely gone over well with critics, but his last Netflix collaboration - the Rebel Moon movies - really came in for a drubbing. So far, Twilight of the Gods has fared a lot better.

Though there are some negative verdicts, the majority of write-ups praise the animation style, world-building, voice-acting and bloody action - although it sounds like Snyder may have overindulged in the graphic violence and sex a little too much for some tastes.

Following several brief teasers, Netflix (via Toonado.com) has released an action-packed full trailer for Zack Snyder's adult animated Norse mythology series, Twilight of the Gods, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on September 19.

This "blood, sex and dragons" promo makes it abundantly clear that this will not be a show for the whole family, as a mortal warrior named Sigrid wages war against Loki, Thor and all of their fellow Asgardian gods in extremely violent fashion while also taking care of some other business in the bedroom.

We’ve known all along that director Zack Snyder intended to release extended, R-rated director’s cuts of his movies Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) and Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver (read our review of that one Here), which were rated PG-13 in their shorter form. Snyder said that there would be an hour of extra content in each of these director’s cuts – and now the Netflix listings for the director’s cuts, which sport the titles Rebel Moon – Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Rebel Moon – Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness have revealed just how much more Rebel Moon we’re going to be getting when these versions of the movies drop onto the streaming service on August 2nd. Rebel Moon – Chapter One: Chalice of Blood has a running time of 3 hours and 24 minutes, a full 70 minutes longer than the A Child of Fire cut.

Neither of Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon movies received an overly warm response from critics or, for that matter, sci-fi fans. Now, though, both Part One: A Child of Fire and Part Two: The Scargiver are getting a second chance on Netflix with R-Rated director's cuts.

According to the Justice League helmer, these will allow fans to "experience Rebel Moon the way I've envisioned it," a peculiar statement when the first two versions being released on streaming (rather than in theaters) should have meant Snyder had the creative freedom to do as he saw fit.

Netflix invites you further into the mythology and madness of Zack Snyder’s epic sci-fi saga in the viciously sexier, bloodier world of Rebel Moon with brand new Director’s Cuts Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness on August 2.

Of particular note, the Rebel Moon Director’s Cuts will be rated “R,” packed with the bloody violence that wasn’t found in the PG-13 versions of the two movies now on Netflix. We’ve been promised “brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.”

Justin Timberlake was arrested shortly after midnight on June 18 after he ran a stop sign on Long Island. He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated. But even though Biel was spotted filming in New York City the day before her husband’s arrest, she was not present when he appeared in a Hamptons courtroom for his arraignment.

Timberlake, 43, was pulled over by police in Sag Harbor at 12:37 a.m. on Tuesday after failing to stop at a stop sign and driving on the wrong side of the road, NBC News reported. Sag Harbor is a village about 100 miles from New York City.

In a shocking turn of events, Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons on Monday evening. The incident unfolded when local authorities pulled over the pop icon after he blew through a stop sign. According to police reports, Timberlake was swerving his vehicle and appeared glassy-eyed. At the time of the arrest, he refused a breathalyzer.

On Sunday, the 77th annual Tony Awards were held, hosted by Broadway and film actress Ariana DeBose at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Throughout the course of the evening, the envelopes revealed a number of out-of-left-field selections. (See the Tony Awards winners list.) That made watching the reactions of the recipients all the more fun. So who were the most visibly shocked Tony winners? Here the Top 5, along with their corresponding “shockmeter” rating.

1. Danya Taymor, Best Director of a Musical for “The Outsiders.”

Most Broadway insiders were expecting Maria Friedman to roll away with the prize for “Merrily We Roll Along.” So it’s no wonder that the dazed Danya literally jumped out of her seat and jolted to the stage. The untamed Taymor did clearly write her speech in advance — but preparation is the hallmark of any good director. Shockmeter rating: 9.5.

The Tony Awards are being handed out Sunday night.

Ariana DeBose is hosting the live broadcast from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York. The ceremony airs live from 8-11 p.m. Et/5-8 p.m. Pt on June 16 on CBS and streams on Paramount+ in the U.S. (See the red carpet photos.)

The first Broadway revival of the late Stephen Sondheim’s infamous flop “Merrily We Roll Along” will win the most Tony Awards of any show at the upcoming 77th annual ceremony, according to our official odds in all 26 categories. The original production, which ran for only 16 official performances back in 1981, earned a single nomination for Sondheim’s score, but this time around it will claim six trophies including Best Musical Revival, three performance awards, Best Director and Best Orchestrations.

The blockbuster musical revival will best by two a duo of plays – David Adjmi’s “Stereophonic,” the zeitgeist-grabbing production about the tumultuous recording sessions of a band on the brink of superstardom, and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins‘ “Appropriate” – that will each win four trophies apiece. Shaina Taub’s suffragist musical “Suffs” is right behind with three victories. Nominations leader “Hell’s Kitchen” will score only two wins, while nominations runner-up “The Outsiders” will likely go home empty-handed.

The promo is less than 40 second long, but it crams in quite a bit of bloody action, as a mortal warrior named Sigrid wages war against Thor and all of his fellow Asgardian gods.

Exclusive: Gabriel Sloyer (Grisdela) and Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) are the latest thesps tapped as series regulars for The Better Sister, Prime Video’s thriller series based on the novel by bestselling author Alafair Burke.

Sloyer plays Jake Rodriguez, a colleague of Adam’s (Corey Stoll) at a high-level law firm in Manhattan. He and Adam are bonded by their outsider status at the firm, and over time he’s grown close with the whole family. But that closeness is tested by Adam’s murder.

Modine portrays the powerful founding partner at Adam’s (Corey Stoll) law firm, Bill Braddock, a man of appetites who can be an ally or a threat depending on the day.

The gods are smiling down at Netflix, where Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated “Twilight of the Gods” has set its premiere date.

The all-new Norse mythology-centered animated series from the “Rebel Moon” director is set in “a mythical world of great battles, great deeds, and great despair” where the mortal king Leif is saved on the battlefield by the iron-willed warrior Sigrid, with whom he falls in love. On their wedding night, they survive a wrath of terror from Thor that ends them and a crew of crusaders on a mission for vengeance.

They were tasked with choosing a winner among the latest Rodgers and Hammerstein (The Sound of Music), a political drama that would go on to win the Pulitzer (Fiorello!), a new kind of psychological biography (Gypsy), and an uproarious fairy-tale comedy (Once Upon a Mattress). Zack Snyder’s two-part sci-fi epic Rebel Moon is now streaming in full on Netflix, and we’ve learned this morning that Snyder’s Director’s Cuts of both films are coming soon.

Of particular note, the Rebel Moon Director’s Cuts will be rated “R,” packed with the bloody violence that wasn’t found in the PG-13 versions of the two movies now on Netflix. We’ve been promised “brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.”

These new Director’s Cut versions of the two films are now titled Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness, and they both arrive on August 2.

We’ve known all along that director Zack Snyder intended to release extended, R-rated director’s cuts of his movies Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) and Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver (read our review of that one Here), which were rated PG-13 in their shorter form. What we didn’t realize is that the director’s cuts would have different titles than the shorter versions – but Netflix has just confirmed that is the case, while also unveiling a batch of images from the director’s cuts and announcing that they will both be available to watch on their streaming service as of August 2nd. The new title for the director’s cut of the first movie is Rebel Moon – Chapter One: Chalice of Blood. The second movie is Rebel Moon – Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness.

Netflix unveiled first looks at a whole host of its upcoming animated shows and features during an event on Thursday, and Rebel Moon director Zack Snyder was on hand to introduce the first footage from his Norse Mythology series, Twilight of the Gods.
