Sean Conant
- Actor
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Writer
Although born in Brattleboro, Vermont, Sean has lived most of his life
in New Hampshire. He grew up working with his father, an electrician,
on the job sites. Something else he grew up with, thanks to his older
brother Todd, were the writings of great authors and poets like Jack
Kerouac, William Burroughs, Ken Keasey, and many others. Sean's first
film work came with "Click", an independent feature film that was
shooting near his home. He quickly befriended Director of Photography
Robert Schoenhut. The two remain good friends to this day. Besides
working in film Sean is also a pianist. He recorded an album, "An
Auchamore". Sean is also a (still) photographer. He shot still
photographs for the film "Click" (in addition to his credit as 1st/2nd
Assistant Camera).
For many years Conant worked as a celebrity photographer, during which time he met and worked with celebrities including Matt Damon, Zac Efron, Elvis Costello, Ryan Sheckler, Louise Fletcher, Julian Lennon, Method Man, Simon Cowell, Kevin Nealon, Nicole Richie, Ed Asner, and many more.
Conant is particularly interested in the life of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era. In 2013 he produced "The Gettysburg Address," a feature-length documentary film in commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of America's most famous speech, featuring Matthew Broderick, Tom Brokaw and many of the country's leading historians. It is the first film under his new Rising Picture Company banner.
