Alkaio Thiele
- Actor
Alkaio (al-KAY-oh) Thiele (theel) is a 14 year-old Greek-American performer from the San Francisco Bay Area who decided to professionally pursue acting at the age of twelve. Within three months of committing to the entertainment industry, Alkaio booked back-to-back feature film roles in HBO Max's "A Christmas Mystery" and festival award-winner "I'll Be There." The exceedingly positive experiences Alkaio had on set with cast and crews reaffirmed his desire to make a career of entertaining.
Alkaio's early success extended beyond the camera and into the mic once he began voicing Janner Wingfeather in the animated series, "The Wingfeather Saga," an adaptation of author Andrew Peterson's fantasy-adventure book series. His excitement for voice acting only grew when he booked subsequent roles in an animated feature film and one of the longest-running radio drama programs still in production, "Adventures in Odyssey." Alkaio was grateful to fulfill one of his lifelong childhood dreams of becoming a superhero when he began voicing Spidey/Peter Parker in season three of Disney Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends. His musicality even helped him earn his first music credits with the series. Alkaio further diversified his voiceover resume with his work in a comedic Cartoon Network series slated for release in 2024. He continues to be thankful for the many talented audiobook narrators (most notably, Jim Dale) who he continues to listen to nightly, for his love of, and skill in, voiceover work.
Alkaio's high level of performative singing, dancing, and improvisation have afforded him numerous notable theatre credits. As Michael in Ogunquit Playhouse's "Elf, " he shared the stage with Steven Booth (Broadway's Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) and award-winning actress Diana Huey (Nat'l Tour: Disney's Little Mermaid), under director and choreographer Connor Ghallagher (Broadway's Beetlejuice). The Wallis Annenberg's multimedia concert experience "Love Actually Live" was an experience unlike any other in which Alkaio played the lovesick teen, Sam. He was honored to sing alongside a star-studded cast that included American Idol's Grace Kinstler, singer, songwriter, and actor Drew Seeley, AGT's Madison Baez, and The Voice's Chris Mann. Alkaio also received high praise from critics for his dancing abilities, charisma, and unique interpretation of The Artful Dodger in 5-Star Theatricals' "Oliver!" Every stage opportunity plants a small yet hopeful seed of a big Broadway future.
