- Iain Kitching (BFE) is the Editor of 'The Swimmers' for Working Title and Netflix. It was picked as the opening film for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2022 and was nominated for a BAFTA for 'Outstanding British Film'. Iain was also nominated for 'The Swimmers' by the British Film Editors for 'Best Edited British Drama'. The film has been seen by at least 100 million people worldwide.
'My Brother the Devil' was one of the most acclaimed films of 2013, winning major awards at Sundance, Berlin and BFI London Film Festivals among others. It was released in cinemas internationally including in 12 US cities.
The short film 'The Fifth Bowl' won a Welsh BAFTA and Iain has worked with Oscar winners Danny Boyle, James Gay-Rees and Hans Zimmer as well as Hollywood powerhouse Doug Liman. As well as drama, Iain also has a breadth of experience in documentary.
He is a musician and has played guitar most of his life whilst dabbling with other instruments. With experience of sound design, photography, visual art and acting (He played a zombie in 'Shaun of the Dead' - Laertes in 'Hamlet' and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 'Nowhere Fast') he believes all of these interests come together in the edit suite to help him make the best cut for the project in hand.
