Kira Buckland was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She originally began voice acting online for independent content creators in 2004, and moved to the Los Angeles area in 2011 to pursue voice work. She became known as the voice of hundreds of anime and video game characters around the world, traveling frequently to appear at anime and comic book conventions.

In 2021, Kira booked her all-time dream role as the English voice of "Jolyne Cujoh" in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Some of the other franchises Kira is most known for include Demon Slayer, Genshin Impact, NieR:Automata, Zenless Zone Zero, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Street Fighter, Soulcalibur, Edens Zero, Ace Attorney, YashaHime, Dead or Alive, and many others.

As one of the pioneers of the early Internet voice acting scene, Kira is a founder and admin of the Voice Acting Club, an online community which provides resources to current and up-and-coming actors.

Kira is the proud owner of a 1983 DeLorean time machine car, and has five cats. When not acting, she enjoys playing Pokemon GO, roller skating, watching makeup tutorials, and streaming on Twitch as the cow VTuber "Josie McFly".
