Michael Kenneth Dillon was born in Los Angeles, California. At age 8,
Michael and his family moved to Poway, an inland town north east of San
Diego, California. After graduating from Poway High School, he attended
University of California, Santa Cruz, majoring in Film and Digital
Media, with a minor in Japanese history.
Graduating from college in the summer of 2005, Michael returned to LA to begin working in feature film post production. He began his career as a producer at EFilm in January 2006. In October 2012, Michael joined Technicolor Creative Services as a Senior DI Producer, eventually becoming the Director of Strategic Operations. In December 2020, he joined with Harbor Picture Company as Head Of Production.
His sister, Lindsey Dillon, is a Sociology Professor at University of California, Santa Cruz. She holds a PHD in Geography from University of California, Berkeley.
Michael's father, Mark Dillon, is a member of the DGA.
