Yannick de Waal (1994) is an actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his leading role in the film "Confetti Harvest", which was selected for the International Film Festival Berlin. He was featured in Peter Kosminsky's 4-part series "The State", which was nominated for a BAFTA in the category "Best Mini-series", and he starred as the enigmatic George in the Blackpills series "Immortality", directed by Nick Parish.
Yannick made his film debut at the age of 12 and shortly after he starred in the film "Breath" which was selected for the Cannes International Film Festival and nominated for Best Short Film at the Dutch Film Festival. Yannick has been in several Dutch television series and he starred in the award-winning short film "Parnassus". In 2022, Yannick plays a major role in the series "Het Gouden Uur", directed by Bobby Boermans.
Yannick has co-written the award-winning series "Oorlog-Stories" (Rockie Award & Cinekid Television Award). "A Pink Moon Comes" is Yannick's first time writing and directing.
