Alixx Schottland is a writer, producer and actor who is also the founder and president of Over the Rainbow Entertainment, a NYC-based production company focused on socially-minded projects that push creative boundaries. With more than twenty-five years in the independent film, fashion, television and theater world. Alixx has starred in NYC productions "Katie", "Hurly Burly" and "Burn This". In "Mommy in Manhattan" Off Broadway, she starred as Scarlet while serving as executive producer and writer. Most recently, Alixx played Diana Briggs-Lane in "White Woman, Black Boy - The Emmett Till Story", a production she produced at Theatre Row as part of the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival.
At Over the Rainbow Entertainment, Alixx and her team selectively nurture, develop and produce projects with a "call to action" message, making community engagement and social reciprocity an integral part of the production experience. Inspired by her volunteer work and fundraising efforts at The Door, a drop-in center for homeless and at-risk youth, Alixx strives create a body of work that speaks to a diverse demographic on the stage and screen. Alixx is an ardent believer in projects that feature strong, complex roles for women and minorities that focus on subjects closest to her heart.
Alixx serves as an executive producer and actor in "The Four Walls of Charlotte Moreland", a film that focuses on the hidden dangers of domestic abuse. She is also thrilled to be an executive producer and actor on the award-winning horror film "Slapface". Some of her most recent producing credits include "In Fidelity" and "Godsend." Over the Rainbow's current projects in development also include "DeliKateSSen", "Love Music Shelter", and "Chango."
