Seaton Smith is an American comedian, actor and filmmaker. In 2023 he released his comedy special Seaton Smith: Live at Madison Square Garden (2023), which the New York Times mentioned as part of the "Best Comedy of 2023." The special produced several viral videos that received millions of views. Smith also directed, wrote and starred in Heat of the Moment (2024), which gave a comedic behind the scenes look at his sold out tour dates with The Strokes lead singer Julian Casablancas and others.
Smith starred in Mulaney (2014), Alternatino with Arturo Castro (2019), and the Primetime Emmy Award Nominated Mini Series aka Wyatt Cenac (2017). Other acting credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017), Inside Amy Schumer (2013), Tamara Jenkins' Private Life (2018), Chris Rock's Top Five (2014) Search Party (2016), Difficult People (2015), That Damn Michael Che (2021), and many others. He has performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers (2014), Conan (2010), and was a regular on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore (2015).
New York Magazine/Vulture named him one of the "50 Comedians You Should Know" and described him as "Bursting with Energy in a way that sets him apart in a overcrowded stand-up scene," The Kennedy Center called him "A hilarious stand-up comic who has taken the New York comedy scene by storm," and Time Out New York called him "A naturally effervescent stage presence. In 2023 Smith co-starred in a feature film, developed a film with Sundance Award-winning producers, and performed on a worldwide tour with John Mulaney.
