A lifelong New Yorker, Scott Berrie still remembers the thrill of watching King Kong on the big screen at the Ziegfeld Theater on New Year's Eve of 1976. Impulse Creative Productions, founded in 2008, produces thought-provoking independent films.

Before founding Impulse, Berrie founded Scojo New York LLC, combining business with social good. Berrie has a master's degree in International Relations and Middle East studies from Columbia University and an MBA from New York University. Berrie is vice president of the Russell Berrie Foundation, investing in innovative ideas designed to foster religious understanding and pluralism, among other causes.
