Stephen is an award-nominated composer from the UK with nearly a decade's worth of experience writing music for media. Having completed a Master of Arts degree in Music from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Licentiateship of The Royal Schools of Music (LRSM, equivalent to a BMus) in piano performance at just 17, Stephen moved to Los Angeles to study film composition at the University of Southern California before moving back to the UK to continue to work writing music for media.
Stephen received two award nominations for his work on 'Wallflowers' and other notable honours include Stephen becoming the inaugural Cathcart Spring Prom Young Composer of the Year, with his winning piece being performed at the Royal Albert Hall and conducted by David Arnold. Stephen was also a finalist in the Xbox Soundtracks and UK Songwriting competitions.
Stephen's debut EP as a solo artist, 'Acronyms Save Ink', was released on Seamless Recordings in 2013 and two of the tracks off the EP were selected for compilation albums of tracks selected by Ben Sowton and Chris Coco (formerly of BBC1 Radio). Stephen's second EP, 'Needs Every Introduction', was released in August 2017 on Mach One Music.
