Having started making films at college and then university, Ally worked in the industry as a graduate on several feature documentaries about the Mod subculture scene throughout the world including a Channel 4 short featuring Paul Weller, before producing and directing his own documentaries and films.
Ally has won multiple awards for his work. In 2016, his music video for 'Sally's Dream' garnered international attention on its festival circuit which saw it win three awards and gain a TV screening. His documentary debut saw him work with fledgling magician, Ben Taylor in The Magic Mod. The film was well received and featured Vicky McClure (This Is England), Paul Weller and Martin Freeman and was shown on Soccer AM in the UK.
His 2017 film, Here We Are, followed the fall and rise of Northern Irish football team, Newry City AFC and was featured on TV via EirSport and won several awards during its festival run.
With his projects spanning across music and sport, in particular boxing, Ally has worked with some of the biggest names in their fields.
