If you’re feeling less than enthusiastic about heading outside during these dog days of summer, at least there are a lot of intriguing horror and sci-fi VOD and Digital releases coming our way this August that will surely keep you busy and out of the reach of the relentless summertime heat.
On August 2nd, the psychological thriller Sun Choke, co-starring Barbara Crampton and Sarah Hagen, debuts courtesy of XLrator Media and just a few days later, Joe Begos’ The Mind’s Eye makes its way to VOD to give viewers a mind-blowing fun time. Feed the Devil is a creature feature from director Max Perrier (Dead Man's Luck). In the film, a trio of low-lifes stumble upon an ancient Native American myth. That myth is unhappy about its disturbance and violence ensues. Part of Jinga Films' Cannes film slate, a second trailer has been released for the film. The clip shows more of the film's central myth, including the monster. Fans of indie horror can see more of the film here. In the clip, Marcus (Jared Cohn), Lydia (Ardis Barrow) and Stella (Victoria Curtain) set out on an overnight trip. They are determined to plant Sativa, or to steal some, when something goes wrong.
