- Warren Masemola is a South African multi-award winning actor, best known for his roles in blockbuster movies like Five Fingers For Marseilles, The Number, Vaya, Eye in the Sky and Beyoncé's film Black Is King.
He was born and grew up in Soshanguve, Pretoria - South Africa.
He studied drama at The Market Theatre Laboratory and graduated in 2004.
Since graduating, he has performed on stages both locally and internationally. Some of his local theatre work includes Nine Lives, The Fisherman, When Swallows Cry which toured Africa, Europe and China; and internationally, he toured many parts of Europe with Robyn Orlin in shows like 'Daddy...,' 'Dressed to kill,' and 'When I take my skin off.'
Some of his film experiences include American TV series The Philanthropist directed by Jonas Pate, Machine Gun Preacher directed by Marc Foster and iNumber Number also known as Avenged directed by Donovan Marsh.
Warren is the kind of actor that takes on challenging, intense and interesting roles; this is where the South African audience know him best from sitcoms like SesTopLa, Single Guys including dramas like Blood Psalms, Isiphindiselo, Queen Sono and 90 Plein Street.
'Tjovitjo', a youth drama series about the lives of a group of dancers trained in the classical dance style of sePantsula, won him best actor at the 2018 South African Film & Television Awards.
