Olivia Swasey was born in Houston, Texas to John Swasey, who works as a professional actor, and Dena Swasey who worked as a professional stage manager. Swasey was interested in acting at an early age. She began her career performing at HITS Theater in Houston, Texas. Her very first role was a Wickersham Brother in Seussical: The Musical. After graduating from Westbury Christian School in 2018, Swasey attended the University of Houston where she received her BFA in Acting. While there, she was one of the original cast members in the world premiere of A Texas Carol performed at the A.D. Players in central Houston. During that time, Olivia also studied at the Prague Shakespeare Company in Prague, Czechia.

Since graduating, she has continued to work in many forms of media including voiceover, video game, and theater. She has performed in the Stages Repertory Theatre's Sin Muros festival as well as with The Ensemble Theater, Mildred's Umbrella, and many more.
