Romeo Reyes was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the third born son of Danilo and Amelia Reyes.
Romeo is an Actor, Singer-Songwriter, Tattoo Artist, Transgender Advocate and Model.
Romeo made his acting debut in Nimisha Mukerji & Orsy Szabó's short film, "In The Deep" where he played a Tattoo Artist. He has also played the female role of Carmen in the Award-winning Short Horror Film, "Dia De Los Muertos", directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero. Romeo has also portrayed a Tattoo Artist on the hit show, "Supernatural" and had a small role on "Arrow" with Colton Haynes & David Ramsey.
Romeo has performed in numerous venues as a Singer-Songwriter. He has performed for charity events, LGBTQ events, fashion shows & art shows locally, and in Seattle & Hawaii. He has participated as a model for fashion shows, Professional Hair shows & numerous photo shoots. Romeo has had 3 original songs, "Longing For You", "Back Seat", and "Vows" aired on the radio. He was a finalist in an online Vocal competition called, "The Vocalist" in May 2020. Romeo released new original tracks in 2020 titled, "Thinking of You" and "Dear Julie" under his full name, "Romeo Ryu Reyes". In 2016 Romeo opened his first shop called, "Zen Tattoo" in Vancouver, B.C. Specializing in Asian & Floral Tattoos. He opened his second location in Richmond BC on January 2019.
Romeo has produced and directed his own show filmed by Nathalie De Los Santos titled, "Interview of the Month!" which showcases different viewpoints from the transgender community. He has also documented the changes in his vocal range during the first few years of his gender transition.
Romeo has been featured on CBC Radio One's "On The Coast" with Gloria Macarenko "Future of Gender" segment, Cold Tea Collective's "The Story of Us", Soju Events "United By Love" campaign, Vancouver Pride Society's Pride Premiere Event, Jeepney Cafe Radio, and Lisa Betts-Lacroix's Super Power U podcast Pride Special Episode 80, #UnapologeticallyAsian campaign, and will be featured in Orange County Pride 2020. Romeo strives to inspire LGBTQ youth by being a voice for the transgender community & People of Colour.
