Lanisa Dawn is an actress of Eastern European descent based in the East-Coast of Canada where she was born and raised. She also called Hong Kong home when she resided and worked as a performing artist in their local entertainment industry between 2014 to 2016. Lanisa's native tongue is English, but she has been engaged as a bilingual actor in both English and French (Quebec market). Recent Film & TV credits include a Guest-Star role in Ricardo Trogi's Award-Winning series Les Mecs (Radio-Canada / Ici Tou.Tv Extra), a Supporting-Lead role in Renaud Gauthier's Indie Horror-Comedy Feature Aquaslash (Showtime), Principal / Recurring roles in Quebec series' Oh My Lord! (VRAK) and L'ascenseur (Ici Tou.Tv) both directed by Mathieu Handfield. Before jumping into the digital medium, Lanisa performed with an overseas company as 'Resident Actress' during a one year tenure in China where she toured in over fifteen pantomimes and three original musical theatre productions on rotation six days a week throughout Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou. While in China, she also found fulfillment in facilitating acting and poetry workshops for local youth; As well as creating training workshops for top tier multinational corporations, partnering with their HR departments to focus on elevating the employees' skills in sales, customer service, and communication through the implementation of drama/acting based scenarios and techniques. After studying classical & contemporary theatre for two years full time in Dawson College's Professional Theatre Program (DOME), Lanisa continued with advanced training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York having achieved a Diploma from their Summer Conservatory Program. To this day she continues training with renowned acting coaches, believing deeply in continued practice of the craft. As a singer-songwriter, you can find her independently releasing music and videos to Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and most other music streaming platforms under just her first name LANISA. She is also regularly engaged as a voiceover artist for video game characters, commercial radio ads, and corporate narrations.
