It could be a very, very long time before MTV’s Siesta Key returns for Season 6, if at all.

According to a new report from TMZ, production has been indefinitely paused on the reality series, although it’s not officially cancelled and could eventually return in the future.

The Siesta Key cast has been known to bring drama over the last several seasons.

Between relationships ending and beginning, friendships being torn apart, and new people being introduced to the show, some juicy things are always happening.

Last season, much of the drama focused on the demise of Juliette Porter and Sam Logan’s relationship as cast members showed their loyalty to one or the other.

Juliette, in particular, had many problems with Sam’s friend Jordana Barnes as the two were constantly at each other’s throats as they competed for Sam’s attention.

Now that the cast has moved to Miami to film the new season, Juliette and Jordana have been spotted together in groups of mutual friends. Still, there wasn’t any indication that they were speaking to one another.

Siesta Key star Juliette Porter has not always been on the best terms with her costar Kelsey Owens.

The two have gone back and forth between being the best of friends and even, at one point, enemies.

After they became hostile toward each other due to competing swimwear lines, things got bad during a fight on a cast trip to the Grenadines.

Siesta Key's Juliette Porter has opened up about MTV firing her ex-boyfriend, and it's clear she thinks the cable network made the right call.

If you watch Siesta Key online, you know Alex Kompothecras was the lead of the show, with all the storylines revolving around his circle of friends.

Alex was given the pink slip last week after it was discovered that he allegedly retweeted racist and white supremacist comments and memes in the past.

Kompotecras was fired just ahead of the show's midseason return, and MTV responded by cutting most of his scenes, effectively making a two-hour episode less than an hour in length.
