DIAMONDS TO DUST is exactly what some of the other reviewers on here have pointed out... It's a stylish and inventive period piece with a lot of heart that makes the best of its indie limitations to tell the real story of Jayne Mansfield. Featuring a strong performance as the blonde 50's bombshell by the super talented Hailey Heisick and excellent production design down to the period props, locations, cars and wardrobe, Diamonds to Dust, takes a gritty and hawkish perspective on its subject which I really loved. I've seen enough 50's period pieces that are all cotton candy and diners. This really got under my skin and dug into what the under-belly of that time period really was and who Jayne Mansfield was when the cameras weren't on. Nice work!
