During the scene where Eben first meets Jennie in the park, the snow on the front of her coat comes and goes.

Whilst talking to Eke, Eben is standing on the left of the screen. After a close-up shot of Eke, Eben is on the right.

When Eben is outside at the top of the lighthouse near the end of the movie, two doors can be seen behind him. The one on the right is open then closed then open again in successive shots.

In the first scene, after Miss Spinney purchases Eben's flower sketch, Matthews makes the comment that "It's wonderful what a little compliment can do," and she seems to agree. However, Eben's compliment of her "beautiful eyes" came after she made the purchase, not before.

During Eben's conversation with Pete, it becomes clear that Pete's moustache is fake when it starts to come away from his face.

Although the movie opens in the winter of 1934, in the scene where Eben first meets Jennie in the park, several 1940s cars can be seen passing in the background.

When Jennie sings a song when they first meet, the sound and her mouth don't match.

As Eben clings to Jennie on the rocks at the Land's End lighthouse, they speak to one another, but their lips either aren't moving or aren't in sync with what they're saying.
