LETHAL GAMES is an absolutely awful attempt at an action thriller and one of the worst I've seen. It was directed by porn director John T. Bone under the pseudonym of John Bowen so you have some idea of the quality of the direction already. Even scriptwriter Daniel Benton used a pseudonym for the film so he must have been really proud of his achievements.
The film was shot in sunny California on what looks like home camera. The main character, played by Frank Stallone, who features prominently on the film's poster, is barely in it and gets little screen time. The main characters are an annoying couple of young women who overact all the while and later on a middle-aged woman with no discernible acting ability.
The bad guys are a group of psychopaths, rapists, and violent misfits who seem to be based on one of the motorbike gangs in MAD MAX. There's plenty of action here, but none of it is good and all of it is bad. The gun battles are as cheaply staged as possible and the quality of the film stock is so poor that you can barely make out what's going on. Attempts at humour aren't even worth mentioning. LETHAL GAMES really is a dog of a film and despite sitting through countless B-movies every week, I haven't seen one this bad for a long time.
