Shirley MacLaine Opens Up About Her Long and Successful Acting Career
Shirley MacLaine is one of the last greats still alive that acted all the way from black and white to color television, and through the years, she’s remained as open as an open book.
She’s fashionable, she’s iconic, and she’s, best of all, a nontraditional woman at a time when the word “woke” hasn’t even started stirring from slumber.

Lydia Deetz, her stepmother Delia Deetz, and her daughter Astrid stand over a casket, the burial services in progress. We can barely make out who the funeral is for but there he is on the headstone: Charles Deetz. While Charles was once part of the Beetlejuice sequel when the ghost with the most was to “go Hawaiian”, he was written entirely out of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice…for reasons that will soon be obvious.
Despite the original’s and sequel’s dalliances with the afterlife, Jeffrey Jones will not be in the Beetlejuice sequel– or pretty much any other legitimate movie – following his disgraceful tumble from his small but reliable spotlight. Perfectly fitting into prestigious period pieces and goofball funny flicks. Jones is a Golden Globe nominee with consistent work – a mix of villain, comedic and at times patriarchal roles, Jeffrey Jones went from Ferris Bueller baddie to Who’s Your Caddy?...

Everyone's favorite "Donald" is back! The iconic character Donald Duck returns in a brand new short film made by Disney Animation Studios. This premiered for streaming this past weekend to celebrate the 90th birthday, rather 90th anniversary, of the character created by the original Walt Disney and his animators (specifically Dick Lundy). The extra grumpy duck made his first cartoon appearance on June 9th, 1934 as a supporting character in the short The Wise Little Hen, and most recently appeared in Once Upon a Studio. The new short film is called D.I.Y. Duck, and it features Donald trying to fix a lightbulb in his home, going back-n-forth to the hardware store as more problems arise during his attempts to get the new bulb to work. Disney has also re-released a few remastered classic Donald Duck short films, including Crazy Over Daisy and Out on a Limb, with all of...

June is busting out all over, especially on streaming. Whether it’s hiding from the heat or taking a break from school and work, Disney+ and Hulu are here to satisfying your mid-year entertainment needs.
Disney+ will premiere the first new live-action Star Wars since 2023’s middling to “The Mandalorian” Season 3 and “Ahsoka” with “The Acolyte,” starring “Squid Game” breakout Lee Jung-jae. The series is set before the events of “The Phantom Menace” with a familiar master-padawan storyline but new characters and a new era where that dynamic unfolds. The streamer will also premiere various new options for kids and family-friendly programming, as well as new episodes of “Doctor Who” starring Ncuti Gatwa.
On Hulu, FX comes in hot for the summer, along with an adaptation of Candice Carty-Williams’s “Queenie,” the brat-pack documentary “Brats,” and yes — more “Love Island.” The TV and film library continues to shift with new and expiring titles,...

Unlike its first two seasons, Sweet Magnolias‘ third outing doesn’t end on any major cliffhangers. In fact, with all the loose ends it ties up, Dana Sue and Ronnie’s vow renewal ceremony could practically double as a series finale — that is, except for one very important event that has yet to take place.
We’re not talking about Maddie and Cal getting engaged, or Helen and Erik finding their way to one another, or even Ty and Annie finally giving things a go. No, we’re talking about the fact that half of the characters on the show...

The #MeToo movement has moved in to the “Big Brother” house. During Sunday’s episode, brand new Head of Household Sam Bledsoe shocked the house with her nominations speech accusing Haleigh Broucher and Kaitlyn Herman of essentially betraying the movement against sexual harassment and assault. “Honestly I don’t care for how the two of you treat the young men in this house. I think that they deserve more respect and I think that it is the opposite of female empowerment,” Sam declared after nominating them for eviction.

Happy Friday Big Brother peeps. As most of you know, the new Head Of Household competition took place on the live eviction show last night, Julyu 19, 2018. However, this one was an endurance challenge that lasted well beyond the live eviction show time frame. So, we had to go to the live feeds to see it finish out and find out who won. The competition was titled out "Out On a Limb." It was pretty straight forward. The housguests stood up on a wall stump that was made to look like a tree. It shifted back and forth. They were sprayed with water and other things at various moments. Whoever was the last person left standing, won Hoh. The comp lasted just under an hour. It started at 6:55 Pacific time, July 19, 2018. At around 7:05 pm, Haleigh already started talking about dropping, but not yet. At around 7:10 pm , Kaitlyn started...

For the first time in 25 years, Hollywood will not release a major movie over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Consequently, the weekend is likely to set a new record for awful box-office receipts. A bleak weekend would cap off a dismal summer movie season in which studios and theaters suffered through a string of ho-hum weekends populated by movies that no one liked very much.

Cinematical has just received the official poster for Matthew Broderick's sharpie-smiled Wonderful World. It's been a good two years since the actor signed on to the project, which was then simply described as a movie that "centers on a depressed, divorced, and unemployed father who finds solace in his Senegalese roommate's sister." That now sounds as telling of the story as saying The Lord of the Rings is about a journey to play a fiery game of ring toss.
The directorial debut of writer Joshua Goldin, this feature also marks a reunion with Broderick, who starred in his 1992 script, Out on a Limb. But this flick sounds like it will be even further out on that limb, making Broderick's stint in Election sound like your Average Joe kinda day:
