Danielle Fishel opened up about if she’s still in touch with her Girl Meets World costar Sabrina Carpenter.
If you were unaware, Danielle played Topanga Matthews, the role that she originated in Boy Meets World, in the spinoff series. Sabrina played Maya Hart, who was the best friend of Topanga’s daughter.
Girl Meets World ended in 2017, and Sabrina has since taken off as a pop star.

“I still consider her to be my daughter and I think of myself very much as a surrogate mother,” Danielle told People.
She continued, saying, “She has a mother who’s wonderful, who I’m very close to. I’m definitely an older friend who gives her advice more like a mom would than just a pal. I probably annoy her sometimes with my mom advice, but I can’t help it!

Selena Gomez’s career took off as she took on the iconic role of Alex Russo in the beloved Disney Channel series “Wizards of Waverly Place” — and now she’s paying it forward with her TV brother David Henrie.
For years, the two friends would have wine nights and discuss what their characters would be up to as they grew up. “We kept talking about it!” Gomez tells Variety at the “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” premiere in Los Angeles.
“It was so organic. We never felt any pressure,” Henrie says. “The original fan should know there was never a mandate to be like, ‘We have to make this show, now’s the time to make the show.’ It just came to a point where we were like, ‘Maybe we got something here.'”
The two brought their revival idea to Disney and the full-fledged reboot, “Wizards Beyond,” received a 21-episode order for its first season.

As reported by /Film on January 4, 2017, the Disney Channel canceled "Girl Meets World" after three seasons. Upon completing production on the show's third season, the "Girl Meets World" cast and crew had been patiently waiting to hear whether or not their series would be renewed for a fourth go-round. Instead, the show's aptly-titled season 3 finale, "Girl Meets Goodbye," became forever known as the final episode.

Arnold Schwarzenegger accomplished a lot in his life. After being born in an obscure little village in Austria in 1947 and growing up with a temperamental father who used to serve in the Nazi Party during WWII, he climbed the social ladder by winning bodybuilding competitions across Europe, immigrated to the US in 1968, married into the high-profile Kennedy family in 1986, became the Governor of California in 2003, and remains the most famous actor today with a high celebrity net worth of $1 Billion.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been involved in plenty of fight scenes during his time as an action star. But he didn’t have much experience taking on women in his movies. This made working with his Terminator 3 co-star more difficult than he thought it would’ve been.
How Arnold Schwarzenegger handled doing fight scenes with his female co-star in ‘Terminator 3’ Arnold Schwarzenegger | Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic
Terminator 3 saw Schwarzenegger return as the killing machine programmed to defend humanity instead of destroying it. Similarly to T2 Judgment Day, Terminator 3 would have Schwarzenegger protecting future savior John Conner from another cybernetic assassin. But unlike the second feature, Schwarzenegger’s sparring partner would be a woman.
Actor Kristanna Loken would play the relentless T-x in the 2003 sci-fi feature. She wasn’t too known at the time, having featured mostly on television shows like Law & Order and Boy Meets World. But...

Odd though it may seem, part of the reason "Jurassic Park" endures as a blockbuster classic is surely due to its horror elements. Like director Steven Spielberg's "Jaws," the 1993 movie gets downright hair-raising at times — an experience made all the more visceral by the fact there are two young children enduring the ordeal.
Alongside Drs. Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, and Ellie Sattler, John Hammond's (Richard Attenborough) grandchildren find themselves stranded on Isla Nubar after the power goes down and several ravenous dinos are set free. Tim and Lex Murphy (Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards) provided a proxy for kids everywhere, putting young imaginations straight into the heart of the film and making the terrifying set-pieces all the more effective as a result.
Since the 1993 classic debuted, the "Jurassic Park" franchise has continued, remaining a popular saga even some 30 years after Spielberg's original bowed. However, while several of...

In recent years there’s been a great deal of ink spilled on the topic of declining attention spans among America’s youth.
It’s tough to quantify or verify such a phenomenon, but if this trend is as real as its loudest alarmists say it is, then there are many possible causes:
Most folks with even a shred of self-awareness would concede that the constant siren song of social media and other smartphone-related diversions has at least somewhat diminished their ability to focus on a single task for an extended period of time.
(Photo by Files/Afp via Getty Images)
And while these temptations have (allegedly) had a negative impact on productivity in schools and offices, they’ve also impacted the entertainment industry in ways both subtle and obvious.

If you're a reader of a certain age, there's a chance you grew up watching "Boy Meets World." The coming-of-age comedy lasted for seven seasons, and audiences were able to watch Cory and Eric Matthews, Shawn Hunter, Topanga Lawrence, and Angela Moore transition from childhood into adulthood, all under the watchful eye of their parental figures and their collective mentor, Mr. Feeny. Years after the show's end, "Boy Meets World" returned for a new generation as "Girl Meets World," focusing on the daughter of Cory and Topanga, Riley, and her mischievous friend Maya Hart, played by pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter. The reignited love of the series inspired the iHeartPodcasts network to launch "Pod Meets World," a retrospective series where the show's stars Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence/Matthews), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), and Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter) revisit each episode.

Danielle Fishel, known for her iconic role as Topanga on the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World, revealed on her Pod Meets World podcast that doctors discovered breast cancer during a routine screening. However, Fishel says an early diagnosis means the 43-year-old actress is expected to fully recover.
In a recent episode, Fishel informed listeners that she was found to have Ductal carcinoma in situ (Dcis), or stage zero breast cancer. This early detection means the cancerous cells have not spread outside of the breast ducts. “They found it so early that I’m going to be fine,” assured Fishel. She plans to have surgery to remove the growth, and will work with a team of doctors to determine the best follow-up care.

Nearly 25 years later, Danielle Fishel is wishing Topanga had said, “I don’t.”

Before starring in blockbusters, Zendaya could have almost been part of Disney Channel’s Descendants franchise at one point.
In a recent interview on the Magical Rewind podcast, Cornelia Frame, the former vp casting and talent relations at the network, revealed the Emmy winner actually auditioned multiple times for the musical fantasy television film.
“Zendaya did audition many times for Descendants, and that was a big deal,” she recalled to hosts Will Friedle (Boy Meets World) and Sabrina Bryan (The Cheetah Girls). “It was a really big deal. She auditioned over and over and really wanted it. It just ended up not going her way.”
The Descendants franchise centers on the teenage children of classic Disney villains, including Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella de Vil. The first film premiered in 2015, with two sequels debuting in 2017 and 2019. And the spinoff Descendants: The Rise of Red dropped on Disney+ earlier this month.

Crafting the perfect TV family can be tricky. Most thrive off dysfunction — everything from “Arrested Development” to its genre-bent counterpart “Succession” — while many focus instead on found family among friends, coworkers, or community. At least one on-air drama is about the perils of inbreeding and bad communication between loved ones, so we wouldn’t exactly call it a family show.
In classic sitcoms starting with “Leave it to Beaver,” there was the idea of the model family (passed down so overtly as to inspire a “Boy Meets World” episode literally called “Model Family” that explicitly sites the Cleavers). From “Family Ties” to “Full House” to “Sister Sister,” the nuclear family was the beating heart of a TV show, with a kind of wholesome chemistry and dynamic that sometimes feels lost now.
But like every TV genre, the family comedy is alive, thriving, and evolving — perhaps nowhere as brilliantly as Apple’s “Trying,...

In his Instagram post – and how amazing is it that William Daniels is active on social media at the age of 97? – the actor shared a pic in which he, Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter) and Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) reunited, along with the caption, “Just a little reunion with my favorite students!!” He also had a photo with just Fishel, showing an even more special bond between the two. Notably absent, of course, was Ben Savage (Cory Matthews), who has distanced himself from Boy Meets World, showing a disinterest in reunions or media appearances.
