“I still consider her to be my daughter and I think of myself very much as a surrogate mother,” Danielle told People.

She continued, saying, “She has a mother who’s wonderful, who I’m very close to. I’m definitely an older friend who gives her advice more like a mom would than just a pal. I probably annoy her sometimes with my mom advice, but I can’t help it!

The Office actress Jenna Fischer revealed on Tuesday that she is cancer-free after undergoing treatment for a 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.

In a lengthy and heartfelt Instagram post, Fischer shared the details of her diagnosis, which came last December after a tumor was found in her left breast. She had Stage 1 triple positive breast cancer, which she noted is “aggressive” but also “highly responsive to treatment.” Though her cancer was caught early and had not spread, Fischer ultimately underwent a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation to address the disease before it could worsen.

Candace Cameron Bure has opened up about how she felt while filming the Full House episode centered around her character D.J. Tanner’s weight insecurities.

During her appearance on Boy Meets World rewatch podcast Pod Meets World, Bure detailed how strange it felt to grow up on a sitcom, with viewers fixated on your appearance. She admitted that it was toughest at 15 and 16 years old.

“I was always the chubby-cheeked girl and a lot of people loved that I was,” she said. “And I can look back and go like, I was just a normal, average girl. Bob Tischler, the writer and producer known for his work on Saturday Night Live, has died. He was 78.

The former SNL head writer, who is largely credited with helping revive the NBC sketch comedy show after its infamously panned 1980-81 season, died on July 13 at his home in Bodega Bay, California.

His son Zeke told The New York Times that the cause of death was pancreatic cancer.

Born June 12, 1946 in Englewood, New Jersey, Tischler attended Ithaca and Franconia Colleges in the 1960s before working as a sound engineer in radio and television.

After working together on a radio ad, Christopher Guest recommended him to National Lampoon, for which he produced the albums Radio Dinner (1972), Gold Turkey (1975) and That’s Not Funny, That’s Sick (1977), as well as The National Lampoon Radio Hour in 1973.

In a recent interview on the Magical Rewind podcast, Cornelia Frame, the former vp casting and talent relations at the network, revealed the Emmy winner actually auditioned multiple times for the musical fantasy television film.

Drake Bell‘s shocking revelations in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV have led to some healing between fellow child stars.

After the Nickelodeon alum revealed the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck while he was a teenager, Will Friedle and Rider Strong opened up about their April conversation with Bell following their letters of support for Peck during his 2003 trial.

“Talking to Drake was amazing … horrible … healing, for a number of reasons,” said Friedle on Thursday’s episode of the Pod Meets World podcast. “He started the conversation by saying to me, ‘Before you say a word, I want you to know I love you, and I forgive you.'”

Will Friedle and Rider Strong are detailing their first conversation with Drake Bell following the release of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV earlier this year.

The Boy Meets World alums had written letters of support for Brian Peck, a former dialogue coach, during his 2004 case, where he was ultimately convicted of sexually assaulting a Nickelodeon child star, who remained unnamed at the time. Peck spent 16 months in prison and had to register as a sex offender.

Friedle and Strong revealed in a February episode of their Pod Meets World podcast — after learning that Investigation Discovery’s docuseries was being made — that they had been close friends with Peck at the time and were asked to write character letters in his defense.
