Featured review
Season 1, which was released in 1995 featured a serial story covering one murder trial. It was ahead of its time, as in 5 to 6 more years, serializing over a season would become wildly more popular, complimented with DVR to ensure you didn't miss an episode (yes, you can record with VHS at the time, but it was always a problematic process). When people watched it or turned in, they didn't realize that they needed to make a weekly commitment or if they joined late, there was not much in the way of recaps to help people catch up. I never saw it until I rented Season 1 on DVD from Blockbuster in the 2000's. The other problem with Season 1 was that the story was stretched too thin over the 24 episodes and the reveal of the real killer was disappointing as it was a character that was only appeared briefly in an earlier episode. Season 2 moved to story arcs over six episodes, with some casting changes that ruined the chemistry of the main characters of the series. It was cancelled after Season 2.
