There are no opening credits after the title has been shown, followed by the opening scene for place of film. Although it is now commonplace for films to not have opening credits, in 1999 it was somewhat rather unusual and it was considered for a trademark of director Frank Darabont.
The North America prints had the 1998 Warner Bros. logo with the Time Warner Entertainment byline at the beginning and the end of the film, Overseas prints meanwhile had the 1997 Universal Pictures logo at the beginning of the film, in fact, this is due to the purchase of the film's international distributor PolyGram Filmed Entertainment by Universal's parent company Seagram in March of 1999.
