Featured review
This is a live recording of a concert that celebrates the classics by Noel Coward, with performances of his songs by British contemporary singers.
I remember when this concert was held, it was quite a big project. There was a studio album, which spawned two chart singles (The Divine Comedy - I've Been To A Marvellous Party, and Shola Ama - Someday I'll Find You). On this live DVD, the performances are great. However, the concert was not as lavish as I expected it to be. After all, a lot of promotion and hype was created by the promoters. I thought they would spend some money on making the stage look better.
Anyway, I am happy that many singers that I like are featured in the concert. I particularly liked the performances by Shola Ama, the Pet Shop Boys & The Divine Comedy. The only complaint I have is that, being only 50 minutes long, it is far too short.
