- TriviaSome websites have erroneously reported that "The Woody Allen Special" was a segment in the variety series The Kraft Music Hall (1967), which aired Wednesday nights on NBC from 1967-1971. Allen did host one episode for the series Woody Allen Looks at 1967 (1967). "The Woody Allen Special" aired Sunday, September 21, 1969 on CBS.
- Alternate versionsThe original airing featured an animated title sequence depicting Allen with his head in a guillotine, as an astronaut, and as his character from Take the Money and Run (1969). Subsequent versions delete this sequence. Credits are shown over a freeze frame of Allen coming out on stage and show the title as "The Woody Allen Show".
- ConnectionsReferenced in The Dick Cavett Show: Woody Allen/Ruth Gordon/Gina Lollobridgida (1969)

Woody allen television special .
Stars woody allen and candice bergen ! Won't you marry me, bill, sung by the fifth dimension. Marilyn mccoo before she went single! God, that black and white silent film bit just went on forever. Billy graham ? Yes, really. Interesting conversation with woody. Also keep an eye out for barney martin... he was seinfeld's dad. It's okay. It's pretty hit or miss. Certainly interesting historically, for some of the actors. Currently, tony randall is listed in the cast on imdb, under "rest of cast", but he only seems to have appeared in the libbys commercials; did I miss him in the skits? And this seems to only be available on youtube. Directed by alan handley. He won an emmy for the julie andrews show.
