Shang's shirt changes from white with a tie at the waist to brown, back to white, then finally back to brown during the night at the campsite.

When Shang arrives at Mulan's house to speak with her, he leaves his horse standing in the middle of the field when the girls come running to him. But after Shang hands his helmet to Sha Ron, we see her running across the field but Shang's horse is no longer there.

As Mulan practices martial arts during her chores with the rake, the head of the rake is not visible whenever she twirls it, and in a few more scenes before she kicks it off at the beginning of "Lesson Number One".

When Mulan and Shang are summoned to the Emperor for an important matter, Mulan is wearing a purple dress. When she and Shang are preparing their horses to ride to the Emperor's palace, Mulan is wearing a green and yellow riding outfit. When she, Shang, and the Emperor are shown speaking, Mulan is again wearing the purple dress.

When the princesses are escorted into the cart, Ting Ting first speaks to General Shang, sitting to his left. When Mulan comes into the picture, Mei is sitting in the same spot Ting Ting was previously sitting, but when they are shown again, Ting Ting is sitting in her previous spot and Mei is sitting opposite from her.

In ancient (and even some modern) Asian cultures, a noble woman's bare feet were considered almost as private as her genitals. A princess would NEVER have extended her bare foot to a soldier, no matter how gallant.

The "Dragon of Unity" is in fact a lion.

The symbols for Yin and Yang are in fact correct, but the white half is considered masculine while the black is considered feminine in ancient Chinese culture. Mulan is handed the white half of the necklace pair while Shang is given the black.

When Princess Su is picking fruit, she puts two pears in her skirt, then Chien Po lifts her up so she can get the third pear. As he does, the first two pears are nowhere to be seen.

During Mushu's attempts to sabotage Mulan and Shang's relationship, Shang gets chased by a squirrel, porcupine, mouse, and skunk. Skunks are only native to North and South America.

It is never explained what happened to the Mongol attack the emperor spoke of. With no arranged marriage, there was no unity, and China would surely be attacked.

When Mulan turns to look at the kids trying to imitate her after practicing martial arts with a rake, her face is squashed for a while before it goes back to normal again.
