The original character name for the Earl of Cockwood was Earl of Fistfuck but the Bavarian Film Fund asked to change that.
The character "Der Frosch mit der Maske" (The frog with the mask) is voiced by Andreas von der Meden, the same actor who provides the voice of "Kermit the Frog" in the German versions of "Sesame Street" and in later episodes of "The Muppet Show".
The "old Wixxer" is played by Achim Mentzel. He was Oliver Kalkofe's favorite "victim" in his show Kalkofes Mattscheibe (1994) where he used to cynically comment on bad TV-productions.
In the first casting scene at Blackwhite Castle Oliver Kalkofe can be seen playing an imprisoned woman in the background.
The film is based on a 18-part radio play that Oliver Kalkofe together with Oliver Welke did in the 1990s during his time as a moderator at radio ffn.
