- Survival horror game set during season 7 of The X-Files (1993). Scully and Mulder travel to Red Falls, Colorado to look for two missing teenage girls accused of witchcraft only to find the place infested with black oil zombies.
- FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully travel to the town of Red Falls, in the Rocky Mountains, to investigate a series of murders committed by a man supposedly raised from the dead by two teenage sisters that the superstitious townsfolk suspect of witchcraft. Mulder believes that the girls are innocent and hopes to find them before the angry locals lynch them. However, the town turns out to be infested by rage zombies and Mulder and Scully's investigation into this zombie outbreak only leads to further mysteries involving an alien artifact, Krycek, a doomsday cult from Tunguska, Siberia and subsequently an alien spacecraft buried beneath the surface of the Earth, where the two agents must stop the "black oil" alien virus from taking control of the planet. This survival horror game consists of three parts that are presented like three connected mythology arc episodes of the show. The first part or episode is set in the town of Red Falls. The second episode is completely different depending on whether the player plays as Mulder or Scully and features several location from the show including the FBI headquarters and Mulder's apartment. The third and final episode is set in Tunguska, Siberia. The game references numerous X-Files episodes but the story is mostly tied to episodes Tunguska, Biogenesis, Amor Fati and Redux II. Several recurring characters from the show appear in the game including Assistant Director Kirsch and paranormal specialist Chuck Burks in a cameo. Like in most other games of this type, the player can only save the game at special locations marked with the X sign (like windows, computer screen or even walls) that Mulder would use to contact Deep Throat's replacement, Mr. X, on the show. Although the game is linear both Scully and Mulder are playable characters with their own exclusive levels and sections, so the game needs to be completed twice in order for the player to see and unlock everything. Scully's game mode has slightly more puzzles and less action, while Mulder's game mode is slightly longer. The two characters do team up several times throughout the game but only for short periods of time.—Lee Jamilkowski
