Open on a family dinner, Father at one end of the table, Mother at the other, Brother on one side, and Sister on the other, the only non-family member is the noticeably nervous young man who's surreptitiously fingering a box with an engagement ring inside...

Given that this was being shown at a Lesbian and Gay Film festival the audience quickly guessed what the twist was but the lead up was masterful and the humor (and the tension) keeps building.

The ending is sweet and the overall effect is great. See it if you get the chance.
