The “Simple Life” babe was fined $160,000 by Us District Judge Federico Moreno for breach of contract with Worldwide Entertainment Group.

The plaintiffs were actually suing Hilton for $1 million for failing to do promotional duties as outlined in her contract for the movie “Pledge This!”

And while Paris isn’t being ordered to pay the full amount being sought, it’s still $160,000, and that’s not chump change.

It's the latest legal hassle for Hilton, who is facing up to four years in prison after she was charged with possession of a controlled substance following her arrest in Las Vegas on Friday night.

The producers of Paris Hilton's 2006 film flop Pledge This have been given until 26 August to prove the socialite owes them cash.

The bosses of Worldwide Entertainment Group sued Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment, for breach of contract, claiming she failed to properly promote the film.

And they wanted Hilton to pay back the $1 million (£666,600) she was paid.

A receiver representing the producers have been given until 26 August to submit arguments that Hilton should pay back parts of her $1 million fee.
