Though Donnie Wahls (Nathan Geist) is referred to as a bit too "junior" in the film, in actuality Geist had to pluck gray hairs before each day of filming during production.
There was a large department store chain in the midwest in the 1960's called Donaldson's.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on May 2007, but was pushed back to June 2008 to add new scenes featuring Masi Oka's cameo appearance.
The inspirational poster titled TEAMWORK with the skydivers on it is shown in a work room. This is the same poster featured quite often on The Office which Jenna Fischer stars in as Pam Beasley.
