If you have Netflix and are a horror fan in need of something to watch this Labor Day weekend, one look at this gargantuan list I compiled of the new terror titles Netflix has added for instant streaming in just the first three days of this month should keep you busy until Labor Day next year. You'll find something for everyone, from older titles to recent releases, famous to obscure, classic to not-so-classic, monsters to maniacs - you name it.
For the record, I considered compiling this list in alphabetical order or by year of the film's release, but then I realized I had already spent well over an hour just sorting through the massive catalogue of titles Netflix has now made available for instant streaming and realized Labor Day would be over by the time I finished arranging this list in any kind of order. Ready? Here you go.

Two of the effervescent leading ladies of Twilight are getting a makeover in their new film K-11 directed by Jules Mann-Stewart. Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed are set to star alongside each other once again in the highly intriguing new drama written by Kristen's mother. K-11 is the dormitory section of the Los Angeles jail where the film's setting will take place. Both beauties will transform into men who struggle for sanity and self-preservation in one of the darkest places in the La county jail system. Jules Mann-Stewart has been a staple in Hollywood for over twenty years as the go to script supervisor. Mann-Stewart has worked on Jack Frost, Are We There Yet? and the musical drama Repo starring Paris Hilton. K-11 will be her debut as a director and has been working on the project for a great deal of time. This will be a dark film, on...

I'm still hopeful that we'll get a chance to see Repo! The Genetic Opera before it opens on November 7th. It is a Lionsgate film, so you can never be too sure (they make a habit of not screening films for the press), but I'm anxious to see it. I love the juxtaposition of this weird, dark story or futuristic organ re-harvesting set to music.
And I love the new collection of movie posters, created for the film's traveling road show that kicks off in about a couple of weeks. Repo is directed by Saw veteran Darren Lynn Bousman and stars Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Anthony Head, Bill Moseley, and Paris Hilton, featured in this first image.

Three days before "Saw V" hits the U.S. big screen, Lionsgate Films have thrown down a Los Angeles premiere for the fifth "Saw" movie. The special screening event took place at the Mann's Chinese Six in Hollywood on Tuesday, October 21.
Though the event missed out on the signature red carpet, it was highlighted by the erecting of a giant bust which features a man wearing a mask from Jigsaw's face, and by the attendance of the horror thriller's cast. Among the cast ensemble seen coming to the event were Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Tobin Bell, Meagan Good, Betsy Russell and Mark Rolston.
Joining the cast for the celebration were Lionsgate's Joe Drake and Peter Block and producer Oren Koules. Some of the celebrity guests spotted coming to the premiere included "No Reservations" actress Jenny Wade, and "Repo! The Genetic Opera" actor Bill Moseley and director Darren Lynn Bousman.

You may want to accuse me of quackery, but I’m still going to enter into the medical files that Repo! The Genetic Opera is probably not going to become a cult classic no matter how much it attempts to be an upscale update of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Why? Lemme tell ya. First off, bad music. Second off, geriatric stars. Third off, hackneyed love triangle plot with forgettable lines. I’ll stop there, although there’s more. And yes, there are positive points to make… but let’s start at the beginning.
The Tad audience arrived in sold-out numbers to catch the city’s first showing of this somewhat-hyped flick, and not surprisingly were treated to an introductory speech by Repo! director Darren Lynn Bousman, who revealed...

Rocking the red carpet of last night's Scream Awards was Darren Lynn Bousman, director of Lionsgate's Repo! The Genetic Opera, which arrives in limited theaters November 7th. While talking with Bloody-Disgusting, Bousman revealed to us that he has big plans for the franchise if the first performs well. Y Darren Lynn Bousman tells us that not only would he like to make a prequel to Repo! The Genetic Opera, but also that the franchise is a conceived trilogy. "Yes, I would love to make Repo! 2," Bousman tells Bloody-Disgusting. "It was designed as a three part movie," explaining that "The Repo! opening [in theaters] November 7th would be the middle chapter." He also tells us that Repo! star Alexa Vega is already onboard for the prequel, would it ever happen and that Paris Hilton might not be involved....

There have been many good things to come out of the 2008 Scream Awards (expect a list of winners soon), and an interesting little tidbit has crept its way into our ever listening ears.
Saw sequel and Repo-man Darren Lynn Bousman let it fly tonight that he will be making another horror movie with Twisted Pictures that will star Repo alumni Alexa Vega.
"It will be the most disturbing thing I've ever done" says Bousman before adding that he can't wait to hack up Alexa!
Keep it right here for me as we get it!
**Update: Styd got word that this project just might a remake of Mother's Day which, I have to admit, is a little dissapointing...

Darren Lynn Bousman, the director of Saw II through IV, says he came to Hollywood to make rock operas, not horror movies. His new film, Repo: The Genetic Opera, covers both genres – and a few more. He talked to us about Repo and whether Paris Hilton, one of its leads, can sing.

Before you get too excited, be prepared to have your hopes smashed as the Weinstein's can't seem to get this project off the ground - and can't seem to make up their mind. After a few months of silence we have the latest name circling Hellraiser, the remake to Clive Barker's classic adaptation from 1987 that featured the first appearance of horror icon PInhead. Back in February Marcus Dustan and Patrick Melton (Saw II-VI, Feast-Feast III) were brought in to write a treatment for the latest incarnation of Hellraiser for French directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury (Inside). Back in April, it was reported that Bustillo and Mauray were off the project. The last we heard anything regarding the remake of Hellraiser was back in May when Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II-IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera) name was circling the film. Now....

Are you ready to get hooked on Zydrate? Earlier this week a bunch of dates and locations were revealed for Lionsgate's tour of Repo! The Genetic Opera. Read on for a look at the theater flyer, along with three exclusive new stills from the film that stars Alexa Vega, Bill Moseley, Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton, Nivek Ogre, Anthony Stewart, Terrance Zdunich and Sarah Brightman. Think "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with gore and...Paris Hilton? We have new images from the musical horror directed by Darren Lynn Bousman of all the "Saw" series of films except the first and current one seeing theatres soon. Ok, so you're thinking "Paris Hilton? In a musical?" Bear in mind, this is no ordinary musical despite having the legendary Sara Brightman in it. Lionstate's release will see only limited areas due to its...limited appeal. We had a chance to speak to the whole cast including Alexa Vega, Paris Hilton, Darren Lynn Bousman, writer Darren Smith, Terrence Zdunich, Ogree and Bill Mosely at this year's Comic-Con fest.

With a tagline of "You Won't Believe How It Ends" anything is possible with this gory franchise. The "Saw" series of thrillers has carved out a hefty pocket for production company Twisted Pictures as well as distributor Lionsgate, but now, there's a new kid on the director's block - David Hackl. No worries, he's worked as a Production Designer on all of the Darren Lynn Bousman helmed offerings (all except the first) and as a second unit director on the third and fourth films as well as Bousman's latest "Repo! The Genetic Opera" musical. It's his first time at the helm; a test for Hackl who was at one time, rumored to take the wheel for the previous "Saw" film.

I've started looking forward to Friday nights, when I sip some vino and cull the stories that will comprise the Weekly Wrap-Up. Sometimes it is a struggle to find the thread that ties them together, but for the week of August 30-September 5, 2008, it was no problem determining the theme: Indies! Incredible, edible indies. We love them, we hate them, and we can't live without them!
One indie that I am definitely intrigued by is Netherbeast Incorporated, which is getting a limited theatrical run. The premise sounds like sheer genius, and in her Netherbeast review, Melissa claims the film "creates a whole new way to look at the legend of vampire." High praise indeed. The eclectic cast includes Judd Nelson, Dave Foley, Jason Mewes, and Robert Wagner. Does it get any stranger?
