Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s estranged ex is sharing a tribute on their anniversary. She left her marriage to Ryan Scott Anderson just three months after she was released from prison. Yet, he still took the time to acknowledge their time together. How did he do that? Keep reading for more details.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Estranged Ex Shares Tribute On Anniversary
Despite the fact that Gypsy Rose Blanchard has moved on, Ryan Scott Anderson still holds a special place for his estranged wife. The two met in 2020 when she was in prison for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. He was intrigued by her story as she was a victim of Munchausen by proxy so he wrote to her while she was serving a ten-year sentence. Gypsy responded and the two fell for one another, becoming engaged. Getting married behind bars was not the best idea but Gypsy went for it anyway.

If your memories of Aziz Ansari’s Emmy-winning romantic comedy series, “Master of None,” are a little hazy, you’re not alone. In the four years since its last season premiered, there’s been a global pandemic (just in case you forgot), the entire Trump presidency, and an accusation of misconduct against its creator.
The long-awaited follow-up, “Master of None Presents: Moments in Love,” will primarily focus on Dev’s (Ansari) pal Denise (Lena Waithe). Although Ansari is not starring in the project, he did serve as director, co-writer and executive producer.
A statement from Netflix describes the season as, “tethered to the previous seasons while breaking new storytelling ground on its own.” Watch the trailer here.
Before you stream the show’s third chapter, get yourself up to speed on seasons one and two.

Bollywood epic Padmavati, now titled Padmaavat, will see its worldwide release beginning tomorrow. The Deepika Padukone-starrer has throughout production and to today sparked a furor in India, inciting violence and death threats. It finally cleared censors last week after a December date was delayed amid escalating tensions. Those tensions have not abated. At least 16 people were reportedly arrested on Tuesday in Ahmedabad as they protested the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. It’s based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s epic 16th century poem and earlier confusion over perceived historical inaccuracies and a false rumor that the movie contained offensive sexual content have led to the violence. Police told local press that some 200 protesters set fire to cars and scooters in Ahmedabad and threw rocks at cinemas yesterday. On Sunday in Gujarat, protesters blocked roads and caused local bus services to be suspended. Rajput leaders have said that...

Seriously, how perfectly timed was The Expanse Season 2 Episode 3 to offer parallels to some serious, present-day, world-order issues?
Spot on.
The show creators tick a ton of boxes: xenophobia, anti-immigrant backlash, patriotism, military aggression, vigilante justice, corporate ethics, bioterrorism, genocide, secret back-channel communications between government officials and an alleged terrorist group, and a religious order offering salvation to a lost soul.
But they were intertwined in such a way that it doesn’t at all feel as if the pertinent issues are just boxes being ticked. The impeccable timing and solid execution — with some breathtaking visual effects — combined to deliver another strong episode.
Meanwhile, big, bad Protomolecule was slithering and oozing all over Eros asteroid and, as Cortazar, the captured Protogen scientist excitedly noted, was “building something.”
But some of the most interesting action wasn’t taking place on the Rocinante or on Tycho Station. It’s on the Scirroco,...

The early, famed pacifist fantasy is back in near-perfect condition and restored to its full length. It’s a reworking, not a remake, of Gance’s 1919 silent classic.

I posted my review of Aziz Ansari's "Master of None" last week. Netflix's binge-release business model makes episodic reviews impractical (I've tried a hybrid model with "Orange Is the New Black" the last few seasons, with very mixed success), so I thought I would try something different. You already know my overall thoughts from the prior piece, so I'm going to offer up quick thoughts on each individual episode (with spoilers for all), coming up just as soon as I begin the night with an aggressive Cartman impression... Episode 1: Plan B The broken condom anecdote is pretty terrific and unusual as a way into the Dev/Rachel relationship that will play out over the rest of the season. Like so much of the show, the devil winds up being in the details, like the way the Uber driver is blasting rap music to make things extra uncomfortable for them.

There's an extraordinary old news clip in director Nicolas Rossier's documentary The Other Man: The wife of F.W. de Klerk, former president of South Africa, is shown at a public function with her husband. While he presses the flesh with his black supporters, she visibly recoils from their outstretched hands, pulling her own back against her body and giving a fake smile that bullhorns her disgust. It's a powerful moment in a layered film about a complex man. Rossier has crafted a tribute that doesn't shy away from withering critique of South Africa's last white president, who held office from 1989 until the country's first democratic elections in 1994. The film itself is solidly and conventionally crafted. Newsreels and stock footage alternate with fresh intervie...

When I saw that The Other Woman made more money over the weekend then Captain America: The Winter Soldier, my first thought was that now Hollywood’s going to want to make the guys’ version, because presumably that’ll do even better at the box office. As it turns out, there is a 2008 movie called The Other Man, and like The Other Woman it involves a friendship between a character’s spouse and lover, but other than that the two movies are quite different, in plot, characters, genre and success — both critically and financially. While The Other Woman received mostly negative reviews, The Other Man was even more panned, and while the former opened to almost $25M, the latter grossed only $150K in total in the U.S. So, Hollywood is very likely thinking of how to do “The Other Dude,” which will be a crude comedy that winds up dealing more in misogyny and slut shaming...

"I first got a call back in December 2012," Maimie McCoy recalls of landing her role on BBC One's Sunday night adventure series The Musketeers.
"I was working on Endeavour and having a lovely time being all sweet and 1960s and Milady landed on my desk and I just went, 'F**k yes!' - she was ferocious and fabulous."
The ferocious and fabulous Milady - right hand and secret weapon of Peter Capaldi's cunning Cardinal - has proven to be one of the show's standout characters, thanks to a star-making turn from Yorkshire-born actress McCoy and her sizzling on-screen chemistry with Tom Burke's moody Musketeer Athos.
"I love how it's been eked out over the series," she says of the simmering passion between the two characters. "They're both creatures who were destroyed by that relationship - it's left this gaping wound - but there's still this wonderful tension between them.

Very impressive people worked on The Counselor. Directed by an Academy Award-nominated director. Written by a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist who is In The Conversation for a Nobel Prize. Starring a mixed-company cast of movie stars, Oscar winners, and internet boyfriends: Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt. You would be forgiven, then, for thinking that The Counselor is not the sort of movie in which someone engages in sexual congress with a car.
But in point of fact, The Counselor is indeed a film in which someone (Cameron Diaz) has sex (intercourse) with a car (Ferrari). The...

Nick Lachey has denied reports that he choked a rival fan at an American football game. The 98 Degrees star was ejected from Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday after an argument during a game between the San Diego Chargers and the Cincinnati Bengals, whom Lachey supports. The other man involved in the altercation has now alleged that Lachey choked him and pushed him to the ground during the row, and described his wife as a "f**king bitch", TMZ reports. Lachey has not denied being involved in an argument during the game, tweeting at the time: "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey." He added: "Bengals win again. I'd talk trash to everyone in Sd, but what's the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost. Washington -- Mia Farrow's brother, John Charles Villiers-Farrow, has been jailed in Maryland on charges of sexually abusing two boys for years.
Villiers-Farrow, 66, who lives in Edgewood, Md., is charged with sexual abuse of a minor, perverted practice and child abuse stemming from incidents that took place from 2000 to 2008, police said. He is accused of sexually abusing two men who at the time of the abuse, were "between the ages of eight until their early teens," according to a media release put out by the Anne Arundel Police Department.
The Baltimore Sun reports that one of the men said Villiers-Farrow "showed him and the other boy pornographic videos about a dozen times before he began regularly molesting them over a period of five to six years."
The other man told police that when the sexual abuse began, in 2000, "in the beginning the other boy was there, but then...

The Expendables 2 is facing a lawsuit today as the parents of stuntman Kun Liu, who died on set last October, argue that he wasn't given adequate protection. Liu was one of two men injured when a controlled explosion went wrong.
The size of the lawsuit, against Millennium Films and stunt coordinator, Chad Stahelski, is unknown but understood to be over $25,000. Zong Yu Liu and Yan Mei Bai are seeking funeral expenses as well as compensation for their loss.
Liu and an American colleague were standing on a rubber boat on set at Ognyanovo Dam, southeast of Sofia in Bulgaria, when the explosion occurred. Both were rushed to hospital where Liu unfortunately died. The other man survived after five hours of surgery but needed respiratory assistance; his present condition is unknown....

Despite being mysteriously listed in the Cannes schedule as simply ‘séance spéciale’, word quickly spread online and at Cannes that the festival had organised a special preview of exclusive footage to be shown to the press attending.
Described on the night by master of ceremonies Thierry Fremaux as an experiment (this was gleamed from the small amounts of French that I was able to understand) the event was a one off screening of trailers, teasers, clips and footage of upcoming films. These included a number of trailers that I won’t go into detail about here as they were all trailers already available online, such as Frankenweenie, Chimpanzee and The Brave but there were also a few exclusives too.
All the clips that played in the presentation had played in the preceding week in the market, in screenings that the press were denied access too. In fact, I had made...

A rather bizarre story is coming out of Miami that could have been ripped right off the screen from a Romero movie as a naked man was shot to death by police and another man is fighting for his life after he was attacked, and his face allegedly half eaten, by said naked man.
It happened on the MacArthur Causeway off-ramp Saturday, May 26th, near The Miami Herald building on Biscayne Boulevard, and here's their report:
The horror began about 2 p.m. when a series of gunshots were heard on the ramp, which is along Ne 13th Street, just south of The Miami Herald building.
According to police sources, a road ranger saw a naked man chewing on another man’s face and shouted on his loud speaker for him to back away. Meanwhile, a woman also saw the incident and flagged down a police officer who was in the area.

The case of the West Memphis Three is one of the longest-running cases of legal injustice in modern American history. In 1993, three teenagers from White Trash Central, aka West Memphis, Arkansas – Damien Echols, Jesse Misskelley, Jr. and Jason Baldwin – were convicted of the brutal rape, torture and murder of three little boys, Stevie Branch, Michael Moore, and Christopher Byers. As depicted in the unforgettable, made-for-hbo documentary Paradise Lost: The Child Murders of Robin Hood Hills, the West Memphis Three were found guilty of murder mostly because they were black-clad, heavy-metal kids in the middle of a deeply disturbed community desperate to pin such a heartbreaking crime on the a group of obvious misfits. The story continues in Paradise Lost 2: Revelations, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory and now producer Peter Jackson‘s West of Memphis, which premiered at Sundance, introduces three new witnesses to corroborate the Three’s innocence. /Film]

I've been following the story of the West Memphis Three for the last ten years. I was hooked when I first saw the HBO documentary Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills. Since then I've been following everything surrounding the case of with Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jesse Misskelley, and like many of the other people that know of this sad tale, I've been waiting for the day of their release... that day has come and gone. With the help of filmmaker Peter Jackson the investigation of these murders were able to continue, and these investigators brought information to light proving that these three men have been wrongly imprisoned for the last 18 years.
This Jackson produced documentary West of Memphis was directed by Amy Berg, and it takes the audience through a frustratingly long journey of how these boys were part of a modern day witch hunt...

Reality is always stranger than fiction, but when we're talking about the West Memphis Three, it continues to grow stranger still. Today there's more information pertaining to the upcoming West of Memphis documentary, which indicates a new direction for the case that could finally lead to the real killer.
According to Deadline, West of Memphis will feature some recently obtained evidence that may have bearing on the future of this case. The documentary was screened for press in New York and Los Angeles last week with the stipulation that one scene was missing. Deadline alleges that this scene will be reinstated in the film for its Sundance premiere today.
To coincide with this news, it seems that Damien Echols issued a press release today that may allude to the missing scene in West of Memphis:

Update: The film’s first screening is still going on, but a release has just been sent out from Echols’ legal team about the new revelations that are in the Amy Berg-directed Peter Jackson produced film and came from a WM3 tipline arranged by the legal team fighting to get the three defendants exonerated. Here is the release:
(Mountain Home, Arkansas – January 20, 2012) Terry Hobbs’ nephew, Michael Hobbs Jr., allegedly told his friends “my uncle Terry murdered those three little boys,” according to declarations under penalty of perjury recently given to Damien Echols’ defense team. When we started to hear about West of Memphis, the new documentary about the West Memphis Three (Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley) produced by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, and directed by Amy Berg, the big question was: what will this movie offer? The movie was born out of an investigation funded by Jackson and Walsh that seeks to find the real identity of the killer who ended the lives of three young boys in 1993. And it turns out the film might have an ace up its sleeve. While the first press screening is going on right now in Sundance, a press release has been sent out announcing that the movie reveals testimony from three witnesses who bolster accusations that the murders were really committed by a man named Terry Hobbs. Hobbs was the stepfather of one of the murder victims, and has long been linked to the case via DNA evidence.
